JOLLY JARS!!!!

This term, our Project Based Learning (PBL) started with us having to form groups and collaboratively create Jolly Jars for the school fair. This task helped us to begin exploring our PBL question for the term - How can we build community through our actions? We had to research ideas, be creative with our product, experiment with our materials and write instructions that could be followed by others.

Here is a link to my instructions ` Link

I learnt that instructions need to make your instructions easy so young kids can read them and too proof read.

Reflection on PBL:

For our Jolly Jar my group created different bookmarks with different styles and designs.

I contributed to my group by doing most off the writing on the slides and docs, and working as a team.

Our Jolly Jar was creative because we did something no one else did so it was unique and creative.

What I learned about working with others was that not everyone agrees, but you can work out your problems. also we got put with none of our friends and I think that that helped because we wouldn't mess around and we would get our work finished.

How did we build community through our actions?

We raised money for the bike track on the back field for our st Francis community.

Summer sports

So on the 7 of November group 3 participated in a popular game in the Netherlands called korfball. So how you play it is four defenders and four attackers you switch over positions. Every 2 points it was real fun and i got a buzzer beater which is when its the last second and you score.  Also you cant run with the ball and the defenders and attackers cant go over a line, i scored all together probably like 3 points and I recommend it.

Have you ever played korfball??

Ferry mead Fun

on the 29th of October the Tumu hub went to ferry mead first we got changed into these old old old clothes the boys had to wear a button shirt and pants that you had to tight up at the back and a old school hat first we got asked some RANDOM QUESTIONS that i had no idea how to answer then it was on to find out the groups i was in Liz pooles group I cant remember what our first thing was but all the activities were so fun!!! cool thing was we got to watch a movie!! then after that we went into the prison and there was a cell and there was a guy with a voice box and he talked out of nowhere and he was like STOP STARRING!!,I was like yo man you need t calm down your getting too loud then we went on these mini go karts but they didn't need gas and someone had to push you but it was still fun.

my fashion famous

for PBL my favourite challenge was the fashion one were you got newspaper and tape  i was with charlie Gavigan it was hard because the costumes kept on breaking so we had to tape them and tape them and tape them the clothes were on me it was so frustrating but fun at the same time very fun then it was up to the walk it was extremely embarrassing because we had legs covered up but nothing on my waist so it looked pretty weird  but it was still quite fun i had a blast.

this is the image of me on another challenge

We have lost a few and won a couple also drew some my latest game was august fifteenth 2019  it was against Ola we are very even teams at skill but we bet them but only 30-25 I reckon I have improved on my tackles. Our team all together played a lot better in the last two games of the season. The team I was in was the  S.F.O.A Stingrays we were coached by Steve, thank you for listening to my reflection on my Thursday sport season 2019.  😃
