this week in reading we had to do a be poem which was stuff in the community that you could do that would make it be better, i put 11 such as kind, respectful, patient, loving, trustworthy, joyful, unselfish, calm, kind hearted, compassionate, caring and generous, these are things that are nice to be around

 this week in maths miss Hayden's class we worked on 3D and 2D shapes and the corners faces and vertices.

We made shapes with paper and a glue stick, miss Hayden put me and Megan together and we made a square based pyramid, a octagonal based pyramid, a cone and a cube.

 This week in reading we chose 3 different genres on kiwi kids and the genres had too be all different
genres like sports,entertainment,business,health,odd news,world,national, and politics

text sport-Warriors women's team- I think that women's nrl should stay, its not fair that boys get too play it and girls don't, also most nrl women are moving too play in other leagues cause they want too play. This should be revisited as the warriors women's team should play, but it kinda does make sense cause of the dangers of covid

business- short shorts making a come back for men. I think that wearing short shorts in kinda weird, i would never wear them, they are stupid and just look weird, the only short shorts i would wear would be rugby shorts or Canterbury shorts, people might have different opinions but I think its weird

World- china send three men too space for a new space station. i personally would get sent too space for science, but the stuff that is going on in the world right now, it would be nice too escape from reality cause right now the world except fro NZ is going covid crazy

Reading week 7

 this week in reading we are either making a star or making a drawing on our Chromebooks, i made a drawing of a star on google drawings and wrote some notes and facts on the google drawing, I think that matariki should be a holiday as it is a part of Maori history and is only in new Zealand.

Marvellous maths week 6 term 2

 This week in maths we had too create a game with different measurements, I decided too pick a quiz on a website called kahoot, some of you might be familiar with kahoot as it is a fun and quiz like website where you pick names play,make, and customise a lot of different options, i would make a quiz with different levels of questions, starting off easy and then the more questions you answer the harder they get.

This would be a fun way for kids/children in kaupeka too enjoy there learning. They would be having fun while building there brains.

PERFECT PA

 This week we were working on pa"s, a pa is a base that the Maori people used too protect there guns food and people. You had too use meters and all those measuring things. You would either go on your Chromebook and do it or you would do it in a book. Me and louis designed one in a book and the put it on a google drawing

New to Kaupeka

Hello i'm Zach and i'm new too kaupeka 

This year has been a lot different. Moving into kaupeka is a big step because all the learning that do you  you get too choose when and what you are going do do at most times. You also timetable different then everyone else like as an example at one time I might be outside doing fitness and at that time my friend louis might be doing independent reading. So basically you have a lot of choice of what you want too. Since i'm in kaupeka there is different teachers then tumu. This year we have Miss Henderson, Miss Parker, Mrs Newbould and Miss Hansen. We also do sport and games like everyday pretty much and I like sport so its a win win. 

 

This year is gonna be fun.
